Oh what a wonderful time we had at the Premiere of the Cherished Ladies Retreat 2021.  We were very limited on space and were unable to invite as many as we really wanted to this event.  This is why we want to share with you all the experience in photos and testimonies from those that were able to be there.  Scroll through all the headers below and then make your plans to attend the next one.  We can't wait to see what all God has in store!

No. 1 - 

" Loved this retreat!  Such a sweet time  in the Lord with some amazing ladies.  Dorothy is an anointed, beautiful lady and to see her heart come into fruition was beautiful to watch.  Powerful speaking! Beautiful music! First class all the way!  Looking forward to many years to come of the Cherished Retreat!"

No. 2

"My time at this meeting was amazing! I was planning on NOT being there the first night, due to my birthday celebration, but something inside pushed me to make it to the first hour.  The ladies were amazing and very sweet when I entered.  I felt at home.  The worship was amazing and God was working that place.  When I came in Saturday I felt love all over again.  Remind you that I have really never had a relationship with women of my age and wow, was it a huge step for me.  The testimony that was given by Dorothy was something that I have been through.  The word I got from God that day is, 'it is okay to share your story, it is okay to trust He will fix it and put people in your lives who will be on this path with you, no matter what.'  I will be going next year.  God had opened me up to wanting me to find a home church soon and really working on me about trusting people again.  Highly recommend whoever can come next year, to do so!

"Life happens! The hustle and bustle of jobs, kids, grandchildren, tasks, housework...all of it can come between you and God's message.  I was invited to the Cherished Retreat by my sister in law months before the date.  The week before, I didn't want to go because I was tired from my job.  Two days before, I thought about cancelling.  God said,'No!'  The day of, I worked until 5:38 p.m. and had to be dressed and there by 7:00 p.m.   I fought not going in my head.  I went,  and I was very blessed by the woman that spoke and Dorothy's love for the Lord.  There were women there like me, just different form. I was very happy that God told me to go and I would recommend this Retreat to anyone.  Women don't always put themselves first, and Cherished shows the value of woman and how we need each other through Christ.

" The Cherished Retreat was my very first retreat to ever attend, and wow!!  It was so encouraging, inspiring and uplifting. I walked away feeling very refreshed and ready to dig deeper in my spiritual life.  One many great things said was, ' you can't expect God to give you His all, if you don't give Him your all", and that statement has stuck with me and has made me strive to do just that.  I already cannot wait for next year's retreat!

"My personal testimony of what the Cherished Retreat 2021 meant to me: To be a part of something so beautiful, something so good, reminds me of an old hymn that I sang at my high school graduation: ' Something beautiful, something good.  All my confusion, He understood.  All I had to offer Him, was brokenness and strife.  But He made something beautiful of my life.   If there ever were dreams, that were lofty and noble, they wee my dreams at the start.  And hope for life's best, were the hopes that I harbor - down deep in my heart.  But my dreams turned to ashes and  my castles all crumbled - my fortune turned to loss.  So I wrapped it all in the rags of y life, and laid it at the cross.' -( I do not own the rights to this song.)

  We gathered to share stories that we can remember, that keep the spirit of our experiences alive, so we can transform the lessons into wisdom.  We gathered to unwind aspects of what is distorting, constricting and inhibiting our authentic self.  Stepping into this retreat, I found nourishment and beauty.  I made new friends, hugged life long friends, cried, laughed, prayed - felt more confident with my next step in life.  Through a combination of sharing life's journeys with other like-minded women with similar experiences. The Retreat created a safe space for honoring and inspiring our sacred visions, lifting one another in prayer and becoming one with the beauty that we see in others, recognizing that "WE" are wonderfully and beautifully made, we are Cherished, we are loved!"

"The Cherished Retreat by Delightfully Yours Ministry was food. for my war torn soul.  Dorothy and her wonderful team of women showered us with beauty and grace: with treasured gifts, delicious food, spirit filled worship, the truth in God's word poured out in testimony.  I will return again and again.  I cannot wait until next year.  You will be blessed!  Please come!"
